Italian Scroll Blank

A while back I’d picked up a copy of The Prayer Book of Michelino Da Besozzo.  It’s got a lot of nice examples from the original prayer book to include illumination and calligraphy.   I’d planned on using one of the plates for a scroll at some point.  The last time I went to visit my Laural, she presented me with a scroll blank in progress.  The pencil work had been done as had the gold leaf.

My daughter even got in on the action!
Figuring out how to get the flowers just right.
Not too bad for a novice painter.
Still have to go back and fill that one in.
Funny story, so the paintbrush bounced out of my hand while I was doing the green. I was able to get most of it up.
