Through this post I learned a lot, not only about how to do calligraphy left handed, but just how many people I know who are left handed and WANT to learn how to do calligraphy.
This week I decided to try it for myself. I rotated my work surface so my writing direction was top-down and right-to-left. The theory is that words could still be built in a readable fashion and you don”t have to worry about dragging your hand over your work. For a first practice, I don”t think it turned out too bad.
Being right handed, control was an issue, but I suspect that a more seasoned left-handed individual could do a much better job that I, and that makes me happy. I know they can learn to do broad-edge calligraphy.
